worldwide number one smash blurred lines from the song that everyone agrees inspired it.

Much debate ensued in the music industry over whether that

jury or the judge who sent the case to trial, or the relatives overseeing Gay's estate who'd

filed the lawsuit, understood anything about music

composition or copyright. It was the first time that songwriters were found liable for

borrowing elements like Groove, arrangement, and feel, rather than more concrete benchmarks. like I assumed it was a new version of the Marvin Gaye song.

since the internet thinks that Robin Thick is a big dick and that the lyrics of this song are vaguely rapey.

Although they could also be construed as kind of anti-slut-shaming?

I don't know.

Anyway, that's for the internet to decide.

And Robin Thick didn't really help his own cause.

He came off as kind of a big douche bag at trial.

His testimony was kind of like, he didn't see he seemed real wishy-washy about

how the song had actually been written it kind of it seemed like he was too

evasive and he also wasn't likable.
