This one's gonna be a little different.

Usually I come in pretty hot and and this is a talk I've never given and honestly it is perhaps

the most emotionally and practically complicated sermon 30 years of my career. So I'm going to pray and then I really hope that I could serve you well.

Lord God, these are your men. This is your church. This is your pulpit. This is your word.

Father, I just want to be a good son. I pray that you'd send the Holy Spirit as you always have and

you've been so faithful to me. Help me be a good son, a good servant, and I pray a

good sermon. And Lord, as we're talking about Jepta and his daughter, Lord, I pray for the daughters and

granddaughters of the men who are hearing this. And Lord, I pray for the daughters and granddaughters

that are coming in the future

and the quality of life and the duration of life that those precious daughters and granddaughters

will experience is largely dependent and contingent upon how we behave as men.
