I want to talk about fatherhood and family a little bit tonight and actually this is a message

I've preached several times pieces of it at least and I just I just have had a concern

of burden I don't know exactly how to share it but I feel like we're we're you know how

many understand that the church was with birth was birth in covenant not a convention

and you know Jesus when Jesus broke bread and said this is my body and he took the cup

and said this is my blood it says there was this was this was the new covenant this is the

new covenant in my blood and so the church wasn't born in a convention it was born in a

covenant so when Jesus when he took the bread and broke it said this is my body and he took

the the wine and and so this is my blood of the new covenant the church was birth then or at

least at the crucifixion however you want to look at it the church was birth in a covenant and

when Jesus you know the disciples were all were we're you know they were arguing about who is

the greatest and Jesus turns to them and says one of you would betray me and that's probably over

the four gospels shared probably five or six times Jesus says one of you will betray me and none of

them know who will betray Jesus and they keep saying is it me is it me and then they get to the

last supper and I think it's in Luke's gospel that records that Jesus says one of you will be

betray me and and Peter leans over to John and says ask Jesus if it's me and you'll notice that

Jesus that John doesn't ask him if it's Peter he asked Jesus is it me and Jesus goes on to

say let's make a covenant and when so for three and a half years I don't know how long into that

three and a half years Jesus starts telling the disciples that one of them will betray him maybe

it was a year or maybe it was the last few months I don't know but for three and a half years

they're looking Jesus is telling them one of them will betray me and they have no clue who it is

until Jesus says let's make a covenant and when Jesus says let's make a covenant Judas says time
