0:09.8	I learned this week that Northern Virginia and Maryland, so I'm not even talking about the district at this point, but Northern Virginia and
0:16.8	but Northern Virginia and Maryland are facing a crisis of desperate need for help with foster children in need of love from a family.
0:32.2	So one of the state county workers we spoke with this week said the
0:36.8	situation is quote the worst they've seen in decades. So there are kids sleeping on sofas and offices or in hotels for weeks on end, even in
0:50.5	homeless shelters.
0:58.0	Hundreds of them are being put in to group homes not because they need to be there. In fact, they definitely don't need to be there for a number of reasons but they just need a bad.
1:06.2	All of this happening in some of the richest counties in our country. So in Virginia specifically, so this doesn't apply to
1:16.4	Moko, but a quarter of the state's children in foster care live within a 30 mile radius of where I'm sitting right now.
1:27.0	So just the counties in our church family, there are over 500 kids in our counties in foster care.
1:42.4	And well over a hundred in need of adoption and they are desperate for people to help.
1:51.3	It's just one example of how serious the problem is.
1:54.0	Loudoun County has 46 kids who need care right now
1:59.0	and zero homes for them to go to.
2:02.0	Zero.
2:05.0	And the reality is,
2:09.0	we as the church can change this.
2:14.0	Like now.
2:16.6	And not just we can.
2:18.8	We as the church are called by God to change this.
2:24.1	We have gathered together today to worship the God
