And this is a very special Father's Day bonus

episode of the show. I wanted to take the opportunity of Father's Day, which is happening in the

U.S. this Sunday, to bring my own dad onto the show for a second because my dad is not only the biggest pop pantheon fan

and listener who is genuinely obsessed with the show in the most adorable way, listens to

every single episode, has lots of opinions on it it and lets me know about all of that.

But also, I had the unique privilege of growing up with a dad who worked in the music industry.

My dad is still an entertainment attorney who specializes in music.

And that stemmed from a very, very, very deep passion of his for music that

I feel very strongly has extended to me and was a big part of the culture of our family. And it's a big

reason why I do what I do both in terms of my DJ career and obviously in terms of making

this podcast and getting to grow up with him working

in music with a lot of figures from pop that we've talked about in the podcast was extremely

formative to me getting to see how the whole process worked from behind the scenes on some

level is knowledge I utilized to this day and gave me a perspective

on the way that pop music works that I feel or I thought might be nice for people to

understand a little bit deeper.

So I invited my dad to come on the show.

This is a wide-ranging conversation, but the main focuses are we learn a
