The Vertex point is another energy point to understand what you are fated to experience and create in this lifetime, especially as it provides a turning point in your life. The Vertex is a sensitive point where the ecliptic and prime vertical intersect, and it is only located on the right side (western hemisphere) of your chart. Your Vertex will be activated by events and people outside of your control and can create sudden changes and a-ha moments. 0:00.0	Welcome to Intuitive Astrology with Molly McCord. Thank you so much for joining me today as this is a Monday podcast episode where we focus on a particular astrological topic or theme.
0:12.8	And today we're going to discuss the energies of the vertex in your chart. We're going to look at what the vertex is as it's actually known as your
0:25.7	secondary descendant and it holds powerful fated energies. It is where things are fated to show up for you, where you're meant to have activations,
0:41.1	where energy is meant to show up and provide a turning point of some kind on your journey.
0:48.9	And so we're going to discuss this topic. And for those of you who are super curious and can't wait to dig in,
0:56.1	it's important to note a few things here about the vertex. First of all, it's an imaginary point
1:02.1	that is created in your chart on the right hand side. That is the Western Hemisphere of a chart.
1:10.2	It's only on the right hand side of your chart,
1:14.3	and typically it's only found in houses five, six, seven, or eight. Now, this can slightly vary
1:21.9	depending on the house system you use, but that is how and where the vertex typically shows up. But it could be in the
1:30.5	fourth house or ninth house, again, depending on your birth chart. The vertex is represented by the
1:38.4	symbol big V little X. And if you want to go find it right now in your chart, as usual, I recommend going to
1:46.3	astro.com or of course use whatever astrology platform or app that you're familiar with. I
1:53.7	recommend astro.com because it's written by professional astrologers. And so you would go to the section
2:00.2	that says free horoscopes, then horoscope
2:02.9	drawings and data, and extended chart selection, and you would select additional objects,
2:11.3	and you can select vertex in the box there. I will put directions underneath this podcast episode. So once you find
2:20.6	where your vertex is in your chart, it's important, of course, to identify it by astrology
2:27.9	sign and house placement. As this signifies where you are fated to have important life experiences that change you.
2:40.0	Now something to know about the word vertex is that it actually comes from the Latin word
2:48.0	vertair, which means to turn.
2:51.7	A vertex is a turning point.
