Summary
A judge will rule on whether Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley can be sentenced to life in prison without parole. That is the harshest punishment available in Michigan.
Crumbley, now 17, pleaded guilty to one count of terrorism causing death, four counts of first-degree murder and 19 other charges. In November 2021, Crumbley fatally shot four students and injured seven other people. Testimony was presented this week at a Miller hearing which is required by law when prosecutors seek a life sentence for a minor defendant.
Sentencing is scheduled for December.
