Summary

Here's a shocking statistic you probably didn’t know about Thanksgiving meals: An average Thanksgiving plate contains about 80-90 grams of fat which is as much as 1⅓ sticks of butter – and it contains on average 75 grams of sugar, which is equivalent to almost 20 teaspoons of pure sugar. Plus, the average person will gain between two to four pounds after the Thanksgiving feast. This isn’t even getting into the actual ingredients being used in the traditional thanksgiving foods – especially a traditional stuffed turkey.

This doesn’t mean we need to cancel Thanksgiving – it simply means it’s time to rethink what your thanksgiving meals look like and how to approach the holiday in a more sustainable way. That’s why in this episode of Fatal Conveniences, we’ll explore Thanksgiving Meals.
