length but we do it from time to time. And do yourself fast. I do. When I tell the congregation to fast, definitely I have to fast with them.

I wouldn't say they should fast when I'm not fasting.

That would be right at all.

Fasting is about knowing God better, knowing God for ourselves, not about just getting things from God.

fasting to purify the heart and soul. On this Easter feast day, we're turning our thoughts to the denial of food

that for some people is still at the heart of Lent, the

season that ended yesterday as Christians everywhere celebrated the risen Lord,

though fasting is not just a Christian tradition.
