A number of students at the University of Texas

staged a sit-in because of concern about unfair treatment of minorities

on the University of Texas campus.

They refrained from eating as part of their protest.

The president of the university,

seeing the seriousness of their concerns through the sit-in and the fasting associated with it, gave them a hearing.

When he gave them a hearing, he determined that their cause was indeed just.

Their complaints were in fact righteous.

And so a number of changes were instituted at the university in response to their sit-in accompanied with fasting.
