higher after a big court win in California let's get right now to Deirdre Bosa with more.

Deirdre. Brian, until just a few hours ago it looked as though California riders

and drivers would wake up tomorrow to a ride sharing blackout.

The court blinked though, granting Uber and Lyft an extension to comply with the order that

forces them to classify drivers as employees and thus letting them continue to operate as they always have with drivers

as independent contractors despite new regulation.
