Think about the last time you had fast food. Where did you eat it?

If you're the average American, chances are you are consuming in your car, at home, in your office.

See, where fast food customers eat has been changing in recent years, and that's thanks in part

to the pandemic. But even before COVID, more folks ate outside fast food restaurants

than inside them. Pre-pandemic, around a quarter of visits to McDonald's ended in people

actually eating in the restaurant's dining rooms. And now, that number has dropped to around

10 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal. The numbers are similar across all fast food

chains.
