There's actually a weird dark story in Matthew 27.

In it, a man called Judas Iscariot,

he may have heard tell of this fellow.

He had been an apprentice and a close personal friend

to Jesus of Nazareth.

He agrees to sell Jesus out to the very people

wanting to kill him to the tune of 30 pieces of silver.

Now scholars aren't exactly sure what kind of currency

that was exactly based on the likely options.

Judas betrays Jesus to the tune of some 200 or so bucks.

Now, I don't mind telling you that in my world,

$200, this is a lot of money,

as is likely the case with many of you.

But even so, I'm not sure that I would sell a good friend

of people likely to kill him for that amount.

So it was a bad thing that Judas did.

It would have to be at least $300 or more

for me to consider such an end.

Of course, it depends largely on the person.
