My name is Nina Farnia.

I'm an assistant professor of law at Albany Law School.

I'm also a legal historian, and my research is focused on the role of U.S. imperialism in legal history, in the world today, and specifically in the United States today.

Well, thanks for joining us.

And, you know, you, this is a, we invited you on the podcast because you wrote a piece that is not yet published, but nonetheless is very good.

And sort of lays out a kind of framework of law and fascism and so the dialectical

relationship of those two processes or things in a liberal democracy.

And I really don't like doing, you know, I've been listening to the news and reading the news

in the last couple of days.

And it's Trump's 100 days, right?

And it's this really arbitrary metric of what the administration is supposed to have

accomplished within those first 100 days.

And just to kind of give a brief rundown of what has happened.

And if, you know, in the last 100 days of Trump's administration, he's had, like, I think

around 140 executive orders, really sort of a blitz of, you know, far surpassing any previous

administration in terms of the amount of executive orders, even his own administration.
