0:22.0	and Dan Evans. Dan, how's it going? Doing well, sir. This is my only had a couple of seconds to
0:30.0	put on my ninja costume from like two Halloween's ago. So if you've seen me wear this costume before,
0:35.6	no, you haven't. Good to be with you, John. Down goes Polsonoro, probably. In the election at least,
0:44.6	he did lose. All hail the new king, Lula actually made it happen. A present-gire ball sonoro has been
0:53.0	rejected and isn't it nice in 2022 to see fascism lose at least somewhere else. It might not happen
1:01.6	here, but we'll see. Now Lula squeaked out this victory. It was 50.9% to 49.1%, and I don't want to
1:10.9	like spoil the good times. This is good news, and we're gonna have fun talking about this, but I don't
1:17.8	want fascism to lose by a percentage point. I would love for it to be a little bit wider of a gap
1:25.1	there, especially when fascism is coming equipped with an endless amount of things to say about
1:32.3	voter fraud and elections being rigged. And many of Polsonoro's followers will believe for the
1:38.0	rest of their lives that Lula somehow from out of power stole the election. It won't make any sense,
1:44.0	but they'll believe it, and they'll be willing to do terrible, terrible things because of that belief.
1:49.2	But for now, democracy has prevailed, and you can see Lula tweeting about it. We're gonna give you
1:56.8	more reactions coming from world leaders past and present in a bit. But let's acknowledge that
2:03.6	this is a massive comeback for Lula. Been the president, he'd gone to prison for nearly 600 days
2:11.1	over corruption charges that were eventually vacated after a judge, seven of the judges that tried
2:17.1	him were biased and now returning and winning. In fact, this is the first time an incumbent president
2:22.8	has failed to win reelection in the 34 years of Brazil's modern democracy. So it was a tough one
2:30.8	to come back from. Baron and mine, that the last time he was president, he left with an approval
2:36.4	rating of 80% which seems impossible in the American context. We'll see how he can do with
2:43.5	very different situation Brazil finds itself in now. But anyway, there were a lot of fears that
