Welcome to Sky Talkers. Here are your hosts, Charlotte and Caitlin.

0:16.0

Hello and welcome to Sky Talkers. I'm your host Charlotte.

0:18.8

Hey, everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin, and welcome to

0:21.4

this week's episode where we are so excited because we have an interview lined up for you guys

0:26.1

to listen to that we have been talking about for maybe four or five months at this point,

0:32.3

probably longer. Yeah, it's true. We are really, really thrilled to welcome Kara D.J., who creates the

0:42.1

amazing fanzine into a larger world, which I'm sure some of you have seen around online or

0:48.8

if you're a subscriber. In this episode, though, we get to talk to Kara about her process,

0:53.6

about her inspirations, about her favorite part of it, the struggles, her Star Wars fandom, and being part of this really rich history of fanzine creation that personally I wasn't super aware of until recently in the timeline of my Star Wars fandom. And it's always fantastic to

1:24.2

1:30.4

1:45.7

it's just a continual reminder that there is so much going on in the Star Wars community.

1:49.9

And there are so many creative people putting their heart and soul into these passion projects.

1:58.1

And it really is just incredible and deserves to be celebrated so much. And

2:03.0

Kara's work is absolutely incredible. We, Charlton, and I are both subscribers to it and I'm a new

2:11.0

subscriber. But I got the back catalog of her work a couple days ago and it was so much fun to just sit

2:21.7

down with a glass of wine and read through all of it.

2:24.4

And I think you guys are really going to enjoy this episode and it was great to hear from

2:28.9

Kara, like Charlotte said, about something that neither of us are really super familiar with
