Quite a bit of going on in sports last night obviously with

game seven with the Astros and Yankees. Unfortunately the Yankees didn't pull through

depending on which segment of the audience you are, you're actually happy about the Yankees coming

up short against the Astros. I mean, the story of the series was the fact that, you know, the

home team won every game and the road teams, offense disappeared

in every game. The Yankees, for their part, I mean, just could not figure out a way of putting up numbers that they

needed to on the road you know the bats did not travel even against someone like Charlie Morton it did not travel. Even against someone like Charlie Morton, it did not work out.

I mean, honestly, this is actually a game where

the Saveer Matricians and the analytics folks actually kind of one out because I think traditional baseball

be one, you know, as much as I try to look at numbers, I still myself look more towards just you know let's get

try to get on base but also got guys that are actually productive it was what they're

good at and you know because I'll say

bunt to run a bunch of guy over when sometimes the stats guys say don't give up the

audit but you know that's not a story for another time but anyway

getting back to my point the one of the takeaways I have from this game was just

the sheer number of curve balls the Astros threw at the Yankees. I mean it was I would say that the

Astros threw at least 50% of their pitches last night were curve balls to the Yankees hitters and the Yankees

could not stay off the curveball it was they got themselves in bad counts but to
