Summary

In 2017, Roy Johnson, a former life insurance salesman turned entrepreneur, opened a new football high school in Ohio. The school's mission was to help students from underfunded backgrounds get a "second chance" at getting into college. Roy promised prospective students new facilities, online classes, and that he'd help get them recruited into the best football college programs. Students from all over the country came to this new school hoping it'd help them achieve their dreams. But when they got there, it was closer to a nightmare. 0:00.0	It was spring of 2018 and Mario Agent was a high school senior at North
0:12.1	Highlands High School in New Jersey. He was on the football team and he hoped to
0:16.5	continue to play in college. Coaches usually helps through the
0:20.0	athletes get recruited for college sports programs but he didn't get that
0:24.2	support. And if he was just asking me Mario what school he's going to what
0:28.9	you're doing and I just felt completely lost. I know where I was going what to
0:33.7	do. Mario always knew he wanted to play football. He never saw himself
0:38.5	doing anything else. So after not getting into any colleges he reached out to
0:43.4	more schools while he was home. Then one day he gets a message on Twitter from a
0:48.5	coach at an Ohio high school called Christians of Faith Academy for COF.
0:53.7	Coaches from COF watched some of Mario's plays and they were impressed.
0:58.5	He really wanted you to watch the film. You know just like trying to recruit me
1:02.6	to come there and whatnot. Mario never heard of COF. That's because it was a
1:07.8	completely new high school but it was making some impressive claims. For one
1:13.0	they had staff members who used to play for the NFL. The campus had all new
1:17.7	facilities and equipment and the school was already scheduled to play some of
1:21.7	the best high schools in the country. On top of all of that they offered online
1:27.1	classes so students could improve their grades but this is the kicker. Students
1:32.7	they wouldn't have to pay for anything because everyone who attended was given a
1:37.9	full scholarship. So it's like I have this chance to go to Ohio is he
1:46.2	got a ticket or I stay home like that's that's a big decision to make at 18 and it
