Should we be feeling better about Alexander Madison than we did a month ago, that and more,

this week on the couch, Paul, Chargee, and it's been quite a month of inactivity, actually,

for Alexander Madison. But did he find himself in a better spot based on what we know now

than we do a month ago? I would say about the same. He was the presumed starter, and he is the

starter. Interestingly, at half time of one of the preseason games, he called himself the bell cow.

And I don't think that came out of nowhere. I think he's been told he's the bell cow,

but I will say this. Ty Chandler's looked pretty good. He didn't rip off 50 yard runs,

but here's what he did. Caught the ball well, yards after the catch, pass blocked well,

and has got a little bit of burst in him that Madison just doesn't have. And I think a little

better vision too. And we've seen, we saw last preseason from Ty Chandler. We saw this preseason

from Ty Chandler. They did not make a move on on Kareem Hunt, although they moved on Miles Gaskin

today. But I don't think that really matters here. Not meaningfully, Ty Chandler is going to be

week one. He's going to be the past catching back on third down. I earnestly believe that

Alexander Madison is not so good a runner that you automatically assume he's going to start and

finish the season as the number one. There's a scenario here where Madison just looks okay.

And Ty Chandler just starts eating into his workload, load, maybe make some big plays, and we might,

some point down the road. By Halloween, I really can't assure you that this thing holds the way

I'm describing it now. I think I just think Chandler's the better back. And I just think in time,
