Hello, welcome to PFF Fancy football podcast. We have another fancy file on the way here featuring Cowboys quarterback,

Dak Prescott. I know it was quite the spectacle, you know, for the better part of the past two years,

are the Cowboys actually going to give him, you know, this long-term deal that we knew his talents warranted,

just wouldn't get, it was rumors after rumors after rumors. Okay, he is finally going to be a Dallas Collar for the

foreseeable future. Jerry Jones has paid him far too much money to make that anything other than the outcome here again for the foreseeable future.

So very excited for Dak that he got paid, but people, I understand if you're not the biggest Dak stand super fan at this point in time.

You know, one playoff win, even though he played great in that packer's loss and, you know, he really wasn't, you know, I would say the overwhelming issue in that Rams lost they had either.

I just think that Dak, he doesn't get the love of the public, I think, because for a long time, I mean, 2016, everything was set up pretty great for him.

Same thing with 2019, I mean, you know, when you lead the league and passing yards are becoming, you know, within 100 of,

I believe he got the honor that year, you know, a lot goes right for years of quarterback, obviously in 2016 when the Cowboys ripped off that, I believe 13 and 3 campaign number one,

see looking good and that was a huge reason why. So even though he's been great as a real live quarterback for stretches, we did see in 2017,

three straight gains where they couldn't even score over 10 points when Tyron Smith and Ziko Elliott were out 2018 before they got a Marri Cooper.

Things were looking incredibly rough in the first half of the season without giving Dak a true number under severs.

So we had just seen Dak while he played great for stretches. He also had some evidence that the haters could pull out and say, well, when you take away some great pieces of his offense, you know, he's not so good.

People we can play this game with freaking anybody. It's why we've been pounding the drum to get Lamar Jackson actual number one wide receiver.

It's not like for some reason these quarterbacks like how much help did they need like I don't know Patrick my home says the fastest wide receiver in the NFL in the best receiving Titan, we've seen maybe ever.

I'm not saying Kelsey's the best, but like look at every great quarterback throughout time and find me one other than a few instances, you know, Brady and some of those crappy patriots teams in terms of wide receivers in past years, you know,

guys elevating poor supporting cast. I understand every now and then you see a quarterback help elevate some lesser wide receivers, but it's not illegal to just give your great quarterbacks and great players.

That is finally what the Cowboys have managed to do around Dak Prescott with that said that last year as great as a Marri Cooper CD Lam, Michael Gallup, all these guys were thrown the ball to this was a bad Cowboys offensive line people because all the usual suspects were hurt Travis

Patrick retired after 2019 time Smith played two games last year, they're all world leptacle, Lell Collins who honestly was starting to kind of play a little bit better than this older version of Tyron Smith, the right tackle, he played zero games.

So truly just no help from really the Cowboys offensive line and we saw that while Dak was starting, it just didn't matter again. This was to me the first time that we had really seen Dak overcome a bad situation and still maintain really good numbers in both real life and fantasy.

I mean the Cowboys and week one last year got held to 17 points against the Rams. If you remember that game should have gone to overtime, Dak threw a perfect like 50 yard past to Michael Gallup about 20 seconds left and jail and Ramsey won the strongest and most physical cornerbacks in the league did a hell of a job, pretending like Michael Gallup pushed off on him, but whatever, you know, middleing gaming against the Rams, fine 40 points against the Falcon 31 points against the Seahawks 38 points against the Browns and 37 points against the Giants were the other four performances we got to see Dak Prescott.
