All right, big piece of news off top here before we jump into Statenard Thursday.

Deshawn Watson is out for the season.

He's going to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.

Lot to unpack here.

First of all, just another brutal twist and turn in the Deshaun Watson contract saga for the Cleveland Browns.

Yet another reason, obviously one that is outside of player and team control,

but still yet another reason they're probably not going to get the returns that they wanted,

obviously, when they sold their souls and traded for Deshaun Watson and everything that followed

there. So that's that. That's a thing that we can we can talk about. But from a brass tax like

on field standpoint, it's really difficult because Deshaun Watson hasn't played well this season. Now,

he's obviously

coming off his best half of football in the 20-23 season where he was really, really good

and made some pretty dynamic high degree of difficulty throws for the Browns to beat the Ravens

in week 10. And obviously he was playing through that injury,

which makes it all the more, I mean, impressive that he did that

and that that was within him.

And it's weird for me because I have felt ever since Nick Chubb got hurt,

that I felt like, all right, now the Browns were going to sort of kind of transition

into the Deshaun Watson-centric Browns offense where they were going to be in the gun.

They were going to shoot passes downfield.

None of this like under center play action typical Kevin Stefansky type offense stuff.

And obviously since then, it's really fallen apart.
