Do you play it safe or do you go for a haymaker in the fourth round?

truly, Aaron Bruski, and FSWA Hall of Famer Steve, Dr A. T and projecting what they're going to look like this upcoming season.

As we do this, we're naturally going to kind of look at the results from this area of the draft

and get a sense for what types of players are checking in with fourth round values

of this past season.

But before we dive in, for those of your first time listeners or folks that are just checking back in after a break, we're taking a quick break from our 30 team trip around the NBA as we talk with local experts and beat riders so you guys can kill it in your fantasy leagues.

And now before we get to the hyper-concentrated fantasy analysis,

I want to get a quick check-in with Dr. A. You know, when you get to this fourth round, are you looking for like a safe play that's not going to get hurt or are you just firing away from your list of my guys?

Yeah, I'm looking at a fifth round guy that I'm going to reach around ahead of because round four is crucial I think I mean that's

where around four if you get the right guy in round four and you did the right thing in round

two and three you're off to the races.

If you make a bad pick in round four,

the talent level drops off at that point.

So by the time it gets to round five,, you're that's when you start sort of, you know, taking more shots kind of in the dark, but I want somebody that I know is going to be great or at least should be really, really good in the fourth round.

I've learned this one the hard way through the years. I think every time I've had a bad, you know, a team that's important to me, you know, high stakes team or whatever, you know, anytime I've had a bad season, that fourth round pick has been a total nightmare. You know, like I'm thinking of like Hassan White's side at peak hype where it didn't happen

who was another one like Larry was it Larry Sanders of Milwaukee.

Mm-hmm you just mean, the guys that they should,

it's not even should, they're just too risky for that fourth round.

And at the same time, I'm never going to not take my shot

if I think it's there, but I've learned that one the hard way and you're absolutely right if you do the first

night the right things in the first three rounds and you nail that fourth round pick you are definitely off to the races
