Coming to you from a hotel room in North Austin, Texas on Friday, September 20th, 2 oceans 13.

Yesterday was day one of Fantastic Fest, the super fun festival thrown each year by the folks at Alamo

Draft House. This year it's at the Lake Line location, which is just a fantastic place to see a

movie, or 17. Last night, I got to go to the premiere of Machete Kills, which is better than

Machete 1. Sophia Vergara steals it. She never once says, I want a Pepsi! But it's also the first time I've

enjoyed a performance by either Charles Sheen or Mel Gibson in a long while. Everyone looks like they're

having a blast in it, and it's got a lot of creative decapitations. Also, Danny Trejo is tiny in person. Still scary, but tiny. When you

walk by me, I thought it was a kid in a Danny Trejo costume. Anyway, I look forward to the next

machete. I also saw The Dirties, another clever found footage movie. You'd think they'd found no more ways to make

those, but they did in this case. And the director and star Matt Johnson, I'm hoping, will be a

guest on Doug Love's movies in the future. Now it's time to read some iTunes comments on the

Doug Love's Minis page on iTunes.
