And, you know, this is the Juan Soto effect as well.

It's not just him.

I mean, it's the magic of the season last year in the way that they

picked up speed, steam into the NLCS, and then of course the offseason and getting Juan Soto.

But this is exactly what the fan base wanted, was a team that was relevant, a team that could go out and get the biggest

free agent and a team that's winning early on in the season. It feels the exact opposite of last year at this time. And it is, I mean,

anybody wants to talk about, you know, Juan Soto and maybe it's not worth it or this or that.

It's a long way to go. But look up in the stands in April, you know, before school is out on crappy weather

days. And it looks like a late season, regular season game where, you know, they're fighting for a

playoff berth. I was just thinking about Friday night in the indoor walkoff. And I was just,

you know, I'm sitting here laying in bed sick as a dog.

Yeah.

And I'm going, man, this is exactly what Steve Cohen had to envision that somehow, some way,

you'd have a Friday night game when door would have a walk off and the place would go bananas.

And, you know, that's part of the bigger plan here.

Like we tend to focus on

the Mets and, and whether or not they're going to make it to the World Series. But the bigger plan

is the whole development around City Field. That's the bigger plan. And the more nights like that,

the more series like that against the Cardinals, beating the Phillies last night, you know, and everybody participating.
