ticot why the extreme gel hair spray is it painful oh my goodness a good question. So it the goal with hair with ballroom

hair, right? This is so funny because I remember when we first started dancing with the stars back

and when I started season two, we were still kind of like training the hair department and the glam

department as well. Like no one understood why it had to be like helmet hair

where you could literally see your reflection against our heads and our slicked back hair.

We used to go when we, my partner and I used to compete in Blackpool every year, we would go to

boots, which is equivalent to like a CVS pharmacy

that we have here in the West Coast. And they had this special gel. I forgot what it was called.

It came in a blue bottle. But I would buy all of it. Like I would literally go to every pharmacy,

every Boots pharmacy in London and just fill up a whole suitcase.

I'd bring an empty suitcase just to get this special type of gel and hairspray that would make my

hair so shiny that you can literally see your reflection against it.

The reason for this is because we don't,

it's kind of like, I guess, ballet, but it's worse. We don't want any flyaways. You see how fast we

spin and we don't want anything flying around and it's always better just to keep everything

sleek, slicked back and just as perfect as possible. With me, I don't really love showing my ears.
