Hello kids. This is Risky. The show where people tell true stories. They never thought they dare to share.

I'm Kevin Allison. This is Medesky's Go Field Martin and Wood behind me now.

Woo! Like I was saying up top, this is such an important time for us because we're returning to touring.

We're in Portland on May 6th. We're in Seattle on May 7th.

We're right at the start of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

And so on Thursdays in May, we're going to be running a special series of some of our favorite Asian American stories that have been shared on the show.

And we continue with our sort of experimentation and trying new things out in terms of format and editing with today's episode.

This is going to be an episode of two radio style stories.

And this first one is very unique. Not the way we usually do things.

Shortly after the lockdown started when the pandemic first hit the United States, we did a little thing on Zoom that we called the Risk Pitchathon where risk fans could come and everyone would have two minutes to pitch us the broad strokes of a story.

It was a hell of a lot of fun.
