So a story broke this week that kind of, I guess it underscores some of our worst fears that we were talking about a few weeks ago in regards to the economy.

That being layoffs. There's been

a bunch of layoffs and some things happening in the job market that are kind of troubling.

First, the weekly jobless claims rose to 231,000 above the 209,000 expected, which is, that's a pretty big number.

But I think the thing that kind of stands out the most is that the U.S. employers announced

108,000 or so layoffs in January, up 205% from December, and the highest January total since 2009.

That's pretty big.

We all remember 2009.

That was the month that Obama was inaugurated in January 2009.

And that was at the rights, basically in the throes of the financial crisis.

So we're having that many, the fact that there's that many layoffs right now,

and it hasn't been matched since then, is definitely pretty troubling.

Now, there's a bunch of things, people are thinking that, or attributing this to a bunch of

different reasons.
