So, knighthood is still a thing.

You can still be whatever, like the order of the British Empire, right?

Far as I know.

And I also realized in digging into this little bit that there are plenty of knights of the British Empire who are not Brits.

Like Steven Spielberg has a knighthood for one sort of an a dying example.

But the way this used to work in medieval times was you get a knighthood.

And part of that trade is when the monarch needs you to ride out to battle, you better fucking show up, right?

Like you're like a knight.
