Today's episode is one of our very favorites to do every year, and that is our fall reading

roundup. I said a lot of our favorite words in one sentence there. There is something about fall

and that back to school energy that gets us craving the smell of new books and wanting to cozy

up with the whole stack. So let's dive right

into this bookish chat. Let's start as we often do with just one or two books you've finished

recently and can highly recommend. Okay, I have those two for you, but I feel like I first have to

give a little update on my reading life because it felt a little rocky for a while, but I think

luckily just in time for early fall,

I think I'm finding my groove.

All right.

I have been reading consistently, but I felt like I kept finding myself in books.

It was that limbo where I'm not loving it, but I don't dislike it enough to quit it. So I'm just kind of

stuck and then I'm not making a lot of progress on it. I'm not like eager to grab my book.

You're not like craving it. Yeah, it's more like, oh, I better listen to that more. So I just kind of

kept running into those. That's always so frustrating when you hit a string of those. But I do think that I am

in a better groove. And I was really feeling like I had very little audio book listening time.

But you know how your audiobook time waxes and wanes depending on the quality of the audio book?

100%. It's like I did just recently start an audiobook I'm really enjoying and suddenly I am just

clicking through it. So I love that. And sometimes you don't know that you're not enjoying a book
