early on Thursday morning.

So we're going to take that chance,

so I decided to delay the podcast.

NFL writer for USA Today, we're going to go over some, we had an eight hour and 43 minute pro football Hall of Fame selection meeting on Tuesday of this week.

This year it was done by Zoom as so many things in our society have been done.

And so basically we, that took up the whole day.

It was just a little past dawn when I went into my little cave in Brooklyn, New York.

And then I got out and breathed deep and I looked at its dusk and I said,

what happened to Tuesday? But anyway, I'll get into that a little bit with with

Jarrett Bell. We'll talk about that. We'll talk about Deshaun Watson. So first I want to talk about the two things that I guess fortunately or unfortunately.

The end of Philip Rivers career and I'll also talk about the the two championship

games coming up a couple of thoughts on rivers so there's going to be tremendous

debate about whether Philip Rivers should make the Hall of Fame or should not.

And a long time ago, Paul Zimmerman, the late Sports Illustrated writer and a guy who taught me so much about not only football but about

covering football. He used to say to me when we were sitting in Hall of Fame meetings,

he used to get so exasperated when people would be quoting stats and all this and he would say,

Lord, did you watch the games? What did your eyes tell you? Is he a Hall of Famer?
