We begin a new series, I'll go ahead and say it, that we're calling Faithful to Finish.

Our text, if you would look in Acts the 20th chapter, Acts 20 and 22, Paul said by the Spirit, he said, I go bound in the Spirit to Jerusalem,

not knowing the things that shall befall me there, save or accept, I keep hearing this, the Holy Spirit is witnessing in every city saying

that bonds and afflictions are abiding me or they're waiting on me there.

But none of these things move me.

Neither count I my life dear to myself so that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

None of these things move me.

I don't count my life dear to myself.

One translation brought out it said,

I only want to complete my mission.

The good news says,

and finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do.

The New Century says the most important thing is that I complete my mission,

the work that the Lord Jesus gave me.

Now, certainly this is true for a minister such as himself,

but it's true for every child of God.

And as we talked about last Sunday, is it too early to be thinking about finishing up?

We read the scriptures that he said, what is your life?

It's like a mist that appears for a little while.

And with God, a thousand years is like a day or like a watch in the night.

It's like last night.

And so compared to that, a hundred-year lifespan down here would be like a couple hours to him,
