Well, go with me, if you would please, to James the fourth chapter.

James chapter four.

I am beginning something new this morning, and I'm not even going to say.

You know that it could be a single message.

I'm not even going to say that.

We'll see, but probably not.

Which is okay, right?

I mean, that's one of the benefits of having a church family.

You come back, the Lord Terry says, come and you come back next week.

Is that right?

Come get some more, get some more, get some more.

But in James the fourth chapter, verse 13, says, go to now, you that say today or tomorrow will go to such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain, whereas you know not what shall be on the mark.

For what is your life?

It is even a vapor or we might say a mist, that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

For that we ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that. But now you rejoice

in your boastings, all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore, to him that knows to do good and does it

not, to him it is sin. And so this passage is dealing with the brevity of life, and since life is so brief,

you don't want to waste it on all of your plans.

And you want to emphasize whatever is his will.

If it be his will and whatever his will, that is the only good use of your life, your days.

The other stuff is wasting your life.

And we don't have days to waste.
