And this section of God's word will be looking at today is Romans chapter 9, verses 27 through 33.

Okay, before we dig into Romans chapter 9, we need God's help to be our teacher today.

Our Father, we ask you to give us eyes to see what you are showing us and ears to hear what you are telling us, and ears to hear what you are telling us, and hearts to receive

the message, the truth for what it really is. We ask it in Jesus' name, amen. Okay, Romans

chapter 9, verse 27, we find the Apostle Paul continuing his explanation of how God's choice of individuals

to be his own comes about through the faith of those individuals. So our faith is the means

God uses to make us his own. Romans 9, verse 27 says, and Isaiah cries out concerning Israel. Okay, pause for a moment.

Paul has just been saying God includes people in his family who previously were not in his family.

And here he's pointing back to an Old Testament prophecy to show that even the Old Testament

prophets saw that this would be the case.

So that's where we're picking up.

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, though the number of the sons of Israel be as the

sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved.

For the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.
