Well, I was on a plane this week flying home here, and right as we were landing, I got a top on my shoulder from the lady sitting next to me, and she said, excuse me, are you a professor or a student or something?

And I said, no, I'm neither of those things.

I'm a pastor.

And she said, well, I was reading your notes on your iPad.

And she said, I found it fascinating.

What are you reading?

And I said, it's the book of Daniel

from the Old Testament.

Are you familiar?

And she said, not really.

And I said, it is a book about believers in God who are transported into the capital city of the

prevailing nation of their day and the thesis of the book is how does a

believer in God navigate an uncertain political climate?

And she said, that sounds amazing.

And I said, oh, it is.

And this is in some ways the most exciting chapter, one of the most famous and not just the book of Daniel but all of the Bible and I said this Sunday I'm just going to walk our church through it and she said I might come so I don't know if she's here or not but as promised.
