We're all one. No matter how poor this believer is or how wealthy this believer is, we share in God's inheritance of his family.

Doesn't matter, you know, the poor and the rich, what status you have, what you've done in life, how much you've accomplished or didn't accomplish.

God sees through a different lens, a lens of justice, a lens of righteousness.

He looks at the heart of what that heart is filled with.

That's right.

We're excited to spend time with you today.

Where are we at, Boo?

In today's verse.

Yes, so far we've talked about trials and temptations.

We talked about listening and doing.

And now we're going to favoritism for bid.

And we're in James, in the book of James.

We read chapter one and now we are entering chapter two.

So my brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ,

must not show favoritism.

Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in.

If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, here's a good seat for you, but say to the poor man, you stand there or sit on the floor by my feet.

Have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters, has not got chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised, those who love him.

But you have dishonored the poor.

Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? have dishonored the poor.
