| 0:44.4 | And we need friendship and good conversation and good dessert. |
| 0:50.3 | So come on out tonight, 7 PM for the Rosary, but 6 PM for the food truck and dessert. |

| 1:06.5 | Amen. Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for. Our meditation today is on faith. But before we learn about faith, we must |
| 1:18.9 | understand belief. Belief is distinct from faith. |
| 1:23.0 | Belief is when somebody tells you something you don't know on your own, |
| 1:27.0 | either through direct firsthand experience or because you figured it out. |
| 1:32.0 | But you make the choice to accept what they say is true. |
| 1:35.0 | In such cases the information at your disposal does not necessitate your belief, |
| 1:41.0 | therefore you must make a choice to regard the other as trustworthy. |
| 1:45.8 | It requires a decision to trust the other person, to trust the witness, the one giving testimony. We operate on the principle of belief in testimony all the time. |
| 1:57.0 | Most of what you know of science, medicine, even history does not come from direct firsthand experience or because you figured it out. |
