It's good for us to read and hear God's word on a regular basis, but merely hearing

or agreeing with the word isn't the end goal.

True Faith obeys God's word in this message from David Platt on James 119-27.

We see that true faith receives God's word humbly and then response.

Our obedience will never be perfect in this life, but true faith, the kind that is produced

and sustained by God's grace, is evidence by the works it produces.

It is good to be a part of the body of Christ.

You will notice in what you received when you came in this morning that you have a

notes page filled with blank lines, not a teaching outline on there.

I would like to tell you that that is by design that I really sense the spirit leading

us to do that today, but the reality is I just didn't turn in the notes on time this

week.

So, but even that, the reason for that leads to something I want to share with you and

just a minute.

I want to risk being transparent with some things that God has been doing in my life and

my family's life over the last year and culminating over this last week as we study this

text.
