Go with me in the scripture please this evening.

Two, First Corinthians, the second chapter, 1 Corinthians chapter 2.

Verse 1st.

Paul, speaking by the Spirit of God, he said, I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with

excellency of speech or of wisdom declaring unto you the testimony of God.

Now, Paul was an educated man and apparently a good speaker, but he's telling them that's not how I came to you.

Let me sit like this.

I wasn't depending on that when I ministered to you.

This is very significant.

Well, Paul, you weren't depending on what you knew. You weren't

depending on your ability to speak, to get results. What were you depending on? Verse two. I determined

not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified

So that's all I had on my mind

Hallelujah it's all I was interested in

How many know that covers it all? Is that right?

Verse three

I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling.

You know, in the flesh, we're not enough.

None of us are.

I don't care who you are, what your background is, how much you've studied, how much you've

prayed, what kind of talents or skills you've honed and developed.

When it comes to accomplishing the full plan and will of God, you're just not enough
