1 Corinthians 1 and then also in the second chapter we've been on a series for a little while now called

faith in the power 1st Corinthians 118 says for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish

foolishness but unto us which are, it's the power of God.

Isn't amazing how something can be so awesome, so life-changing, and this person is just

ecstatic about it, and this person won't give it the time of day. This other person sees no value in it

at all. And that's what's going on on the planet. He goes on to say, verse 22, Jews require a sign,

Greeks seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified and the Jews a stumbling block, to the

Jews of stumbling block, to the Greeks foolishness.

But unto them which are called both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom

of God.

I don't care if you're looking for smarts or you're looking for power.

Jesus is what you're looking for.s or you're looking for power, Jesus is what you're looking for.

He's both and he's more.

Jesus, you know, there's some people who think they are, but Jesus really is all that.

You did not exaggerate when you said, he is all that.

And then some.

Chapter 2, 1 Corinthians 2 and 1.

1, Corinthians 2 and 1.1 in King James, we can find that.

Said, I, brethren, when I came to you, I came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony

of God.

Next verse.

I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
