Would you go to 1 Corinthians please and the first chapter for a few weeks now, I guess what about maybe three or so, we have been on the subject that we're calling faith in the power.

And in 1 Corinthians, the first chapter and the 18th verse, it says the preaching of the

cross is to them that perish foolishness. But unto us which are saved, it's the power of God.

You can discern between saved people and lost people by how they see, refer to, talk about the gospel.

People that despise it are lost.

People who are saved, respect it.

How many in here thank God for the gospel?

That's how you got born again, right?

That's how you got saved.

Gospel means good news.

Keep going, verse 19.

It's written, I'll destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding

of the prudent.

Skip on down to verse 22.

He said, Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom.

But we preach Christ crucified to the Jews a stumbling block and unto the Greeks foolishness.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. No matter what you're looking for, Jesus is it.

You're looking for power and miracles? That's who you should go to. Is that right? You're

looking for wisdom and smarts and knowledge. That's who you should go to. Jesus is the power of God.

The Christ is the power of God and he's the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
