Summary

From 1991-1992, Laverne Paul Fox, the Bus Ministry Director at Faith Baptist Wildomar, California engaged in sexual relationships with minors, guilting them into silence.

Upon discovering this situation, Pastor Bruce Goddard allegedly did not report to authorities but rather ordered Fox to leave the state and the families to stay silent.

This story was used as leverage over youth pastor Victor Monterio's victims from 1998-2013. Victor calmly reminded his victim, Rachel Peach, that "preacher won't do anything."

But refusing to report abuse is not some unwritten rule at Faith Baptist Church. It is literally a written one.

In January 2020, a former member and victim of abuse from Faith Baptist Wildomar shared the church's three-page "Whistle-blower Policy."

The instructions are crystal clear:

"A supervisor who becomes aware of suspected misconduct should not report the case to an authorized law enforcement officer without first discussing the case with the Pastor, appointed Deacon, Staff Member, or Female Reporter."

In this episode, Kathy Durbin shares her story of abuse at the hands of Paul Fox, and the cover-up that ensued.
