I wanted to feel like there is no escape.

And it's like, how do we create two different claustrophobic, you know, environments?

And for me, it was in the apartment.

I wanted to confine them between these long hallways and that were very narrow.

And for the office, we wanted to create like this fishbowl, you know,

feeling where, you know, there are no walls there. You're always in each other's sight and seeing

each other through reflections and, um, and because there is no escape in this film, like it,

that's why the, it explodes and it goes to those explosive places.

who find themselves tested when an unexpected promotion threatens to unravel far more than

Fair Play is DeMont's feature directorial debut.

Her other directorial credits include episodes of billions, ballers, suits, shooter,

Clarice, and Star Trek Discovery.

Following a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles,

DeMont spoke with director Olivia Wilde about filming Fairplay.
