I was recently at a mastermind group with a group of guys, group of dads,

where we're just really pressing into doing the best that we can to be great husbands and great fathers and also

great business leaders. And in that time, we had a man come, just an awesome worship leader's

named Stephen Manuel. And one of the things that he taught us as men is to start paying attention

to how we worship God.

And so many of it, and since this meeting, I was like blown away by how often I am now listening to worship songs or quote unquote worship songs and asking the question, this is what

he asked, this is what he taught us, who is the subject of the song?

And so often what we do in our worship today or what gets passed off is worship, we are the subject.

And the song becomes about us, not about God.

And so I just really want to encourage us in this five-minute time to think about this week.

How can we add true worship? Worship of our Savior, not worship of ourselves, but worship of our

Savior into our daily lives. I love this one song. It's called Stones, and it's talking about

how, like, I won't let the

stones cry out because there's something in me that has to worship you. And you realize how many

of our modern day songs really are centered around us. They're centered around our surrender

and our victory and our breakthrough and that's great.

And I don't think there's anything wrong with those because I think that's our response to

God.

But I realize there's times where you realize there's something in me.

Like my soul is just crying out to worship you.
