Let your kids teach you one lesson this week.

I think so often we get in the mode of teach.

Teach, instruct, discipline, repeat, is that we are the ones

that have to instruct our kids and teach them in the way they should go. And sure, that is a lot of

our responsibility. But this week, we want to flip the tables because our kids have so much

to teach us if we pause and listen. And what's super

powerful about it is it also empowers a child to realize that they have something that they can

offer, not just to kids or to their siblings, but to their parents too. That there's things that

God is teaching them that they can in turn teach others. And we know that when we teach something, that's when we really, really know it.

So just this week, I was amazed to watch our daughter who has started to draw and take

these like drawing tutorials.

And I'm, be honest, drawing is not really my thing thing even though I'm the daughter of a graphic designer

it's just not and yet I've been watching my daughter literally she took an entire day and she drew

and she drew and she tried again and she messed up and she tried again and And she kept putting her pictures all over the house in different places.

And finally I sat down with her and I was like, Kennedy, can you show me what you're doing?

And so she started to show me how you draw eyes to make them look like cartoonish and cute

and how you black out the middle and you have little white parts on the top and the bottom

and like things I never knew before.

I was so amazed to watch her.

And it was so cool to watch her come to life teaching me her mom something that I didn't know.
