Representative Adam Schiff, chair of the House Intelligence Committee, conducted two months

of depositions from 17 former and current State Department and White House officials,

12 of whom testified publicly.

On Tuesday, Schiff bluntly summarized the committee's findings in a report that said the impeachment

inquiry has found that President Trump personally and acting through agents within and outside of the U.S. government,

solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, to benefit his reelection.

The most remarkable of the witnesses called was Fiona Hill, who until last summer, served as Trump's top advisor on Russia and Europe.
