I am comedian Steel Saunders and I do love Star Wars.

And today we're going to be talking about how these rumors about a film series set in the High Republic, 400 years in the past, is the best news for Star Wars that there can be.

Maybe not the most exciting news, but it is clearly the best, in my opinion.

And I've been thinking that, I've been hoping for news like this for a couple of years now.

Jason Ward has a video and article up. Very, um, very cloak and dagger. His informants recently told

him, um, when they were talking about the Cassie and the Obi-1 series,

which are supposed to be going to Pinewood, which is a bummer for him

because he can't hide in bins on the set there because it's not near his house.

But his sources are saying that the next set of Star Wars movies

will be set in the High Republic 400 years in the past.

Now, this has always been, in my mind mind the bravest and potentially most profitable in the long term,

but most dangerous to do.

And that is to set something in the Star Wars universe completely disjointed from our

established characters. Doing so, I just, oh, just to get rid of the baggage that we've all got

with all these characters. And there's just, you know, the fact is with live action, there was just

only so much we'd be able to do with, um, with Luke layer in hand, just no matter how, what

you thought, how the films were going to go, or, or if you like them, you know, there was just,

there was only so much they could be involved in the action and uh have
