On today's program, Joyce will be teaching from her series Facing Fear and Finding Freedom. Fear comes at all of us for many different reasons, and it can be challenging to overcome its grip on our life.

If we try to ignore it or avoid it, fear will steal our joy and drain us

of our energy. But there is freedom to be found through the promises in God's Word. Joyce

wants us to discover how our faith in Christ can overcome any fear. Let's increase our faith and

be free from fear today. Now here's Joyce with today's teaching. Let's talk about today. It's fun to talk

about the Egyptians and the Israelites and Moses and all that, but let's talk about today because

we all have lives we're trying to live today. And we are living in some tough times.

And I don't know, I ask a friend today, I said, so what do you think, how bad do you think

it was in Sodom and Gomorrah?

I'm sure it was pretty bad, but I'm not so sure we're not right along up there with them.

Amen.

And the Bible says that when Jesus returns,

it'll be like it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. And so we would not be wise if we didn't live as if Jesus is coming back any moment. Amen? So in Luke 21-26, the Bible teaches that in those times, the times that

we're living in, that men will be swooning away or expiring with fear. But I want to start

in 21 verse 9, and we're going to read through verse 13, Luke 21, 9, 13.

And when you hear of wars and insurrections, disturbances, disorder, confusion, don't become

alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified. In other words, don't become afraid.

For all this must take place, but the end will

not come immediately. Then he told them, nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,

and there will be mighty and violent earthquakes and in various places, famines and pestilence,

plagues, malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases, which are deadly and devastating.
