I always like to kick things off with something fun and

interesting and on TikTok this past week oh my gosh there was a video that was just

blowing up and they say it's a brand new way to tell if you're really old or not

okay it's not by how you look it's that maybe you know what this is take a listen know what that is

anybody oh yeah we that was like oh the sound of freedom the sound of

technology the sound of the future it was the dial-up internet sound.

So they say this noise is familiar to anyone who was born before

1998.

And that noise is known as handshaking, by the way.

To make your internet work, the ISP would answer the call,

connect to your modem, and then the sounds would come by, and it and it would last I don't know maybe 30 seconds or just about there that made me

start thinking about other things that the kids might not know about what about

pagers yeah let's see Walkman VHS tapes floppy disks CDs yes they may not even

know what those are and think about this cassettes tapes you

remember those they had side A and side B so their only logical successor would be the
