I'm Margaret Brennan in Washington and this week on Face the Nation with COVID-19 cases

skyrocketing in the Sunbelt and parts of the West, the mixed messages

and political divisions when it comes to trying to contain the virus are growing as well.

More than four months into the pandemic, the president modeled a new look during a visit

to wounded soldiers at a Washington area military hospital.

I think it's a great thing to wear a mask.

I've never been against masks, but I do believe they have a time and a place.

The decision to publicly follow CDC guidance came a day after the U.S. recorded more than 67,000 new cases of coronavirus.

Is the United States losing the war against COVID?
