Summary

We are one year into the coronavirus pandemic -- and help is on the way. This comes after President Biden signed into law the America Rescue Plan. We hear from former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb. A new CBS News poll shows Americans are seeing better days ahead in the pandemic and the economy. CBS's Elections and Surveys Director Anthony Salvanto tells us more. We'll also hear from White House COVID equity task force chair Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, about vaccine hesitation among minorities. Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio discusses the new COVID variants, and the need for more vaccines, and weighs in on the controversy surrounding Governor Andrew Cuomo. Plus, a chat with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, ahead of his virtual meeting with President Biden. Moderator Margaret Brennan has all this and more on this week's "Face the Nation. "
